Liquid Love

by Rebecca Gettelman

Small hands

Gentle nudges

Greedy gulps

Happy guzzles

Secret smiles

Peaking tongue

Searching eyes

Much loved one

Tingling breasts

Gentle drips

Contenting milk

Two soft lips

Still, small body

Curved into me

Asleep again

Time infinity

One of the noisiest sounds ever in church was that of a little one nursing contentedly!
